It started with Darwin but it doesn't end with Darwin.

Your comrades in academia are the ones who put Darwin up on a pedestal.*

I'm knocking him off that pedestal.

So I understand where you'd think I'm being arrogant.

* Four times: capitol city, bank note, grand title, grand burial.
OK, you've knocked him off the Pedestal. Why should we care?

First off: I'm a retail worker. I'm not in academia. Thus, all that shows is you are hellbent on lancing whatever windmill you see as the giant of academia.

Secondly: you're doing nothing of the sort. You do nothing of the sort. All you do is show your own ignorance in the subject matter, an ignorance you're proud of (and I refuse to denigrate myself by using that godawful spelling and grammar you use for it), and you revel in it too. I call that arrogance.

Just don't get me wound up with Darwin and his book.

Or I'll get moderated comparing it to another book written by another amanuensis 66 years later.

Why are you obsessed with Darwin and his book, but ignore the tens of thousands of other books and the hundreds of thousands (probably millions) of research papers on evolution published since then? Easier to attack a dead man?

Comparing On the Origin of Species with Mein Kampf in the manner I would expect from you would probably be worthy of moderation.

Because it started out wrong, then just got wronger and wronger.

In addition, well ... it's a matter of who the real author is.

You can have "tens of thousands" of books written about this or that, but it's the author that gets some peoples' attention.

Not to mention a book's sequel by the same author.

Like I said, I really had better not discuss it for sensitivity reasons.

What about comparing the titles:

The Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life -- and -- My Struggles?

You basically claim that On the Origin of Species, and thus evolution itself, was created by the devil.

Don't dance around the issue.

Disingenuous and incorrect, as has been pointed out to you many, MANY times before now.

Don't dance around the issue.

And don't trick me into getting moderated.
